HELP ALERT- Broker horses!
I received a call from Christy S. just now- she is on her way to the brokers. Apparently, the majority of the 40 head he has are...Saddlebreds...
Christy will be posting pictures and infomation on her site late this afternoon-- clean out your piggy banks- every little bit is going to help!

Gosh darn you!
[LillianH, putting on blindfold, earplugs, having hubby change PINs and passwords to all $$ accounts.... He might want to add a locking gate at the end of driveway so I can't sneak anymore in!]
P.S. He just this weekend stumbled onto exactly how many we have.... Said, "Don't you think you're at capacity?" Who, me??

If you have not already, I would advise you to look at Saddlebred Rescues offerings. Nealia and Anne will have worked them, and be able to tell you if they have something safe for a child. I absolutely cannot guarantee the safety of a child on a horse fresh out of a brokers lot, and a child's safety is too important to risk.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to PM me.

The first ASB mare looks like she has the "s" from the old tupperware salt shaker my mother used to have! I have absolutely no need/room for a draft breed, but that team of belgins makes me want to get in the truck and drive up there!

I agree with the statement, two professionals checking out your rescue is far better than just going on the internet and picking up a horse for your angel. Plus many of the rescues are ridden in the NWS lesson program, so they will have even more evaluation. If you are shopping on the broker pages, you should be doing this carefully and with the thoughts of keeping a horse as a companion, trail, rehab type of project. Like Cloud Dance. She was bone thin, sore and just about drained from her life experiences as a road horse. Now, safe, happy, fit and well loved.
Looks like the broker has been very busy. Groan....

Here's what is up so far:
Page 1: chestnut ASB mare as pictured above
Page 2: 9yo liver chestnut gelding, looks well fed/cared for with road tail.
Page 2: 9 yo chestnut gelding, somewhat thin, but not bad
Page 2: 6 yo "boys type driver", assuming this meants not a ladies horse on the road, sturdy cute gelding, 16 hands.
Page 2: Another chestnut mare, 14-15yo
And she's not done yet....
