iGallop from Brookstone

Has anyone ever tried this exercise contraption? It is supposed to simulate a horse's motion for a workout. They are on sale at Brookstone and I wondered if it was any good.

Thanks!

I have not tried it, but it certainly looks very interesting. It looks like it might work.

Honestly? I think you could create a similar workout on a much less expensive exercise ball Save your money for the horses, or a fabulous pair of shoes, or a weekend getaway!

An exercise ball might be a nice alternative for keeping in shape -- thanks for the thought!

#3 child is trying to learn to post -- thought it might have some potential there as well but I suppose we could just visit the mall a few times for that.

I've been on the iGallop in the store more than once and the gaits do not really match the real rhythm of a horse. The "gallop" feels like a slow gait.

This came up a couple of years ago. As I remember, the company that makes them had a video on their website that was hilarious. It looked more like sex than riding.

Their print ads were somewhat provocative, too, if I recall correctly.

No, no, no... don't think twice about it. After all, it's been good for a chuckle.
